HISTORY: Everything is awful.

WHAT ARE YOUR CHARACTER'S STRENGTHS?: Clint's biggest strength is probably his compassion. He doesn't always seem like the most compassionate person at times what with his sarcasm and deadpan humor, but he is deep down inside. He believes in people and he believes in giving people a second chance. When Clint was sent in to take down Natasha he chose to see the good inside of her and instead of following his orders he decides to bring her in instead. He understands that people are not perfect. While Steve may believe in people Clint does recognize that they can and often do let you down. But he doesn't stop trying.

Probably something that most wouldn't consider a strength is he's human. He's a human surrounded by "Gods" as his wife says. Even Natasha is larger than life due to her past with the Red Room and her skills as a spy. But Clint isn't like the others. His humanity and the way he sees thing can often be an asset. He's seen the worst and the best. He's seen people switch sides. He's seen people start over.

Something that's both a strength and a weakness is his loyalty. He believes in loyalty and he believes in being a team. He doesn't seem to hold a grudge towards Natasha for siding with Tony. Wanda even calls him out for pulling his punches. He even seems to try to subdue Vision without much pain because he's a former teammate.

Clint is able to compartmentalize. He harbors one of the bigger secrets on the team when he reveals to them finally that he has a family. He doesn't once let on to any of the ones who don't know that he has someone he goes home to after missions. Every time he goes out on an op he puts his family into a box and he focuses on the task at hand. And when Clint comes back he shoves his Avengers work to the back of the closet and he's a dad and a husband. He lives in two very different worlds for a while.

WHAT ARE YOUR CHARACTER'S WEAKNESSES?: Clint's loyalty is definitely a double edged blade. He can be the best friend you've ever had if you're loyal, but if you outright betray him it can get nasty. He's able to overlook Natasha siding with Tony and he even gives Wanda and Pietro a second chance, but the second Tony Stark leaves him in those cells he decides he's dead to him. He grows belligerent and angry at the sight of the man.

Perhaps a weakness is that Clint doesn't always choose to follow orders. He can go off script if he feels he has to. Now from a tactical standpoint that's probably a leaders worst nightmare. But eventually you come to realize that Clint might have a little thing for strays. He brings Natasha to SHIELD. He gives Wanda the Avenger pep talk. Now he may choose not to follow orders, but Barton can also follow them completely. Even if they're hard. He's often given an observation post so he can usually not interfere and remain professional.

He is very scared of not being need. He does worry though sometimes that perhaps because he's human that the group doesn't need him. Now he does recognize that he's needed by the team, but sometimes when the situations get insane he wonders. Insecurities creep in and they get the better of Clint like they would anyone else. He's a man fighting among Gods and it often worries him. Now this desire to be needed seems to almost branch into his family as well. He's often doing DIY projects and getting involved in something. It's both to stay busy and the remodeling validates his position among his family. He's the man responsible for that and therefore he's needed.

Clint would never admit this as a weakness, but Clint is a family man. As a family man it makes him extremely vulnerable. He goes out of his way to not make this so, but sometimes you just have to bring your beaten team to your home. Clint has Fury take his family out of his SHIELD files so that no one knows about this. Clint is a man that has people who want to kill him. An attempt was even made on his life once in the past. It didn't succeed, but Clint tries very hard to keep his family life and his work life separate.

WHAT EVENTS OR CIRCUMSTANCES IN YOUR CHARACTER'S PAST HAVE IMPACTED THEM THE MOST?: Meeting his wife. Clint has his entire marriage and the birth of his children kept off his record. It's so well hidden that not even his teammates know with the exception of Natasha. Because he's a family man sometimes Clint has the tendency to dad people really hard. He does it to Wanda the most, but mostly because she lost her brother. He tries to protect everyone despite the fact that they may be super powered heroes. He's a father at heart and has to protect people. One of his biggest events was choosing to recruit Natasha over killing her like the operation stated. Because while he didn't know it at the time he was indeed finding his best friend in the entire world. Another event that Clint doesn't like to talk about in depth with strangers is what happened with Loki. He was mind controlled and he killed a lot of men and women that day. He's not forgot a single one of them. Because of this he's a little paranoid about mind control and he's the only one able to thwart Wanda when the time comes.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOUR CHARACTER?: His family. Clint doesn't want his children to have to live in a world where evil constantly dominates good. He wants to make a better world for his kids. He wants them to feel safe and protected. Which is why he goes out there and protects people every chance he can get. His team has also become his family. So, when he retires and steps away it doesn't take much for him to come back to them when Steve calls. They need him. Wanda needs him and he made a promise to her brother. The desire to do the right thing is another motivator. He doesn't have the ability to stand by when he could be helping. Which is why he's so quick to jump back in after recovering from Loki's brainwashing. Maybe there's a lot of guilt there too, but he needs it.

WHAT IMPRESSION DO OTHERS TEND TO HAVE OF YOUR CHARACTER?: For years his teammates didn't know that he had a family. No one knew he was a husband or a father. They all assume that Clint is single or perhaps has a girlfriend. You could say that Clint is good at giving people one impression. Sarcastic. Exhausted. Maybe a little crank.

IN WHAT WAYS DOES THAT IMPRESSION DIFFER FROM WHO YOUR CHARACTER REALLY IS?: In truth Clint is a family man. He's still sarcastic, exhausted and maybe a little grumpy, but he's a dad. He likes to spend time with his family. He does DIY projects. He thrives when he has people to look after. His wife sort of puts it the best that the Avengers need him. Because they're Gods. They need him to keep them down to Earth.

HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE CRISIS OR ADVERSITY?: He's a former SHIELD agent and Avenger. Crisis is sort of in his job description. He handles it well. He assesses situations better than anyone you will ever meet. He does best with a birds eye view where he can figure out a plan of attack. Clint isn't afraid to push back against people when they try to tell him what's right. He isn't afraid of being on the wrong side of the law during Civil War despite having a family. Because he believes in the right thing.

WHICH 5 THINGS WILL YOUR CHARACTER REMEMBER UPON ARRIVAL, AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THEM?:

1. He'll remember the names of his teammates and the ultimately relationship he shares with each one for the most part. Though some things aren't perfect. If he were to lose those connections he wouldn't be able to connect with this place. Unfortunately in Tony's case he just remembers he really hates him right now.

2. He remembers the death of Pietro and the way it made him feel. He remembers the promise he made to protect and look after Wanda. While he didn't connect with Pietro immediately this memory is incredibly important to Clint and his friendship with Wanda.

3. Clint remembers Coulson recruiting him to the military. Coulson trained him and mentored him so in Clint's head he's like the father figure he never had. He owes a great deal to Coulson. Including where he is today.

4. He recalls the various languages he's probably picked up from missions and what not. But he couldn't tell you when or why he learned them. They just might come in handy.

5. He has a shadowy memory of a brunette, but he couldn't tell you who or what she is to him. Because even if he doesn't remember his wife she's always there.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU FEEL WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER?: He really loves classic rock, eighties rock, and pretty much anything he can yell in the shower. He sings in the shower and to his children.


SKILLS, ABILITIES, & PHYSICAL WEAKNESSES: Clint's biggest weakness is he's human. He's able to be wounded, killed and so on. He's human and often at times he goes against things that aren't very human. That doesn't stop him though.

It's likely safe to say that Barton is multilingual after his extensive work with SHIELD not to mention the countless operations he's taken overseas. He would have a tough time blending in and doing his job if he couldn't speak the language.

Clint Barton is a master with the bow. He's self taught and his accuracy with it really isn't rivaled by anyone yet. He can fire several shots in rapid succession without a problem. He is scary talented with his bow.

It's said that Clint Barton is the greatest living marksman on the planet right now, but he would never boast that. It's a little too flashy. He has remarkable reflexes when it comes to taking a shot. This doesn't just extend to his bow and arrow either. Now Clint can indeed hit a moving target without even looking at it, but he can also sink a hole in one on every single golf hole. He even gets a bullseye with three arrows in a row. His aim is scary proficient and almost seems inhuman at times the way he can line up a shot.

He's a master assassin, but he doesn't like to discuss it. He's the one they sent after Natasha who was basically cutting a bloody trail through the world. He's the one they deemed acceptable to go after her and match her skills.

It's not known where Barton got his acrobatic skills, but he's very capable when it comes to getting himself out of tight spots. He has peak human endurance, flexibility, strength, speed, stamina, and agility. Clint knows how to handle himself in most instances.

When it comes to hand to hand Clint Barton is actually a lot more proficient than he would appear. He has been shown going toe to toe with Natasha Romanoff on several occasions and holding his own. He even went up against Black Panther for a while before finally being bested. As a SHIELD agent and his former military training it's likely he learned various forms of combat to assist him on missions and things of that nature.

As a tactician Clint is pretty good. He's able to lead a rather dead team while under the mind control of Loki. He came up with the ways of getting the equipment they needed and he led the assault on the SHIELD carrier. When Clint is given a birds eye view he's often almost unstoppable at planning an attack.

As former military and a SHIELD agent Clint is proficient in most weapons. He's capable of wielding them with deadly accuracy though he does prefer his bow.

He's an expert pilot when it comes to the Quinjet.

Deadly stick fighter. Clint's seen using a baton at one point and he even used to use his previous bow as a bo staff to hold off soldiers. But in Civil War his bow turns into a bo staff and he wields that with frightening precision when fighting men.

INVENTORY:

Right now Clint has a Hoyt Gamemaster II. This has several buttons that he can push that allow him to select specialized arrowheads. Clint's bow can also turn into a a bo staff that he's able to wield. It's important to note that Black Panther broke it, but he would still like it back. Put back together or he can fix it on his own. Maybe. Please.

Clint has a specialized quiver that allows him to select different kinds of arrowheads for a specialized shot. It's motorized and the selection is controlled via his bow.
